Lisa Holle UCONN Pharmacy Practice
http://chip.uconn.edu/person/lisa-holle-pharmd-bcop/
lisa.holle@uconn.edu My current research interests include those which evaluate the impact of oncology pharmacy practice services on patient care, adherence to and patient education/understanding of appropriate use of orally administered oncology medications supportive care treatments. My practice site is at UConn Health's Carole and Ray Neag Comprehensive Cancer Center in Farmington, CT where I work in a team-based medical oncology clinic. I'm part of UConn's Institute for Collaboration on Health, Intervention and Policy (InCHIP; http://chip.uconn.edu/) and UConn's PRISM Collaborative (transforming the future of pharmacy through performance improvement for safe medication management (http://pharmacy.uconn.edu/research/centers-collaboratives/prism/).

Ongoing and future projects will focus on the patient-related outcomes of oncology pharmacy practice care within a team-based approach and pharmacist-led education and cancer risk-assessment/screening in the community pharmacy setting. Past research has included the impact of drug shortages on cancer care; collaborative cancer therapy and supportive care clinical trials in the hematopoietic stem cell and oncology setting; and quality improvement research related to oncology medication safety.
Andrew Arnold UCONN Health Center Center for Molecular Medicine

aarnold@uchc.edu Murray-Heilig Chair in Molecular Medicine; Professor of Medicine & Genetics. Also serve as Director of the Office of Physician-Scientist Career Development at the UConn School of Medicine
Paola Vera-Licona UCONN Health Center Computational systems biology and systems medicine/Center for Quantitative Medicine
http://compsysmed.org veralicona@uchc.edu My research group works on a variety of problems within the fields of computational systems medicine, computational systems biology, mathematical biology and bioinformatics. We focus on the design and software development of mathematical algorithms for the mathematical modeling, simulation, analysis and control of biological networks such as gene regulatory networks, signal transduction networks and functional brain networks. While the mathematical tools we employ are varied, many of the approaches we develop have a flavor of fields such as discrete mathematics (graph theory and combinatorics) and algebra. Areas of application include cancer research, immunology and neuroscience.

Daniel Rosenberg  UCONN Health Center Center for Molecular Medicine  http://facultydirectory.uchc.edu/profile?profileId=Rosenberg-Daniel  rosenberg@uchc.edu  I have over 30 years of experience in cancer research, focusing on the acquisition of early somatic mutations and their biological fate in the colonic mucosa. We use both powerful mouse genetic models of cancer initiation, as well as biopsy specimens from a large ongoing human trial being conducted at the UCONN School of Medicine. We have published a series of papers in 2106 detailing the early molecular changes that accompany early neoplasia in the human colon, including epigenetic and transcriptional modifications that we believe both contribute to, and impair, tumor progression. We also have a longstanding interest in the role of bioactive lipids, including the prostaglandins, in cancer initiation and promotion. We have developed a panel of mouse genetic models to study PGE2 and its role in carcinogenesis. My laboratory also has employed the use of organoid cultures to generate a tractable system to study colonic stem cell function. Finally, we have several ongoing studies that define the contribution of the nutritional environment on cancer pathogenesis.
